Past Marcellin College School Captain (1954-1967) Alan O'Connor was recently awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in the School of Management at the University of South Australia at age 64.

The thesis title was:  'Indigenous enterprises and entrepreneurship in remote Anangu communities.'

Alan found it a fascinating way to transition from work.  It involved numerous trips to Ernabella and Alice Springs where he worked on developing and researching 4 small community enterprises on the APY lands of South Australia.

Alan was quoted "I have fond memories of Marcellin and thank the school for giving me such a wonderful start to my education."
